KINGFISHER SEES INCREASED BENEFITS
FROM GLOBAL SOURCING

At a presentation held today for analysts and investors, Kingfisher, the
pan-European retailer, stated that its global sourcing initiatives are
expected to bring gross benefits to the Group of some £190 million/290 million
Euros per annum by the year ending January 2004.  

Sir Geoffrey Mulcahy, Chief Executive, said: 'By reinforcing Kingfisher's
value proposition worldwide, this will result in further growth to the benefit
of customers, employees and shareholders.'
