                       KINGFISHER ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING


Kingfisher  plc held its Annual General Meeting in London today.  Shareholders
approved the payment at the final dividend of 10.5 pence per share payable  22
June 2000.

Sir John Banham, Kingfisher Chairman announced that Lady Elspeth Howe would be
