Rights Issue of 1,293,642,792 new Kingfisher Shares at 155 pence in connection
with the Offer for the minority shareholding in Castorama Dubois Investissements
SCA

The Prospectus relating to the admission of the shares to be listed pursuant to
the Rights Issue announced on Monday 8th July 2002 has been approved today by
the UK Listing Authority.

Copies of the Prospectus are available for inspection at the registered office
of Kingfisher plc, North West House, 119 Marylebone Road, London NW1 5PX.

A copy of the Prospectus has ben submitted for public inspection at the Document
Viewing Facility of the UK Listing Authority, The Financial Services Authority,
