Kingspan disposes of timber and joinery businesses

Kingspan Group plc today announces the disposal of T L Bennett (Holdings)
Limited, Bennett Windows Limited and Thomas Lowe Joinery Limited, the timber
and joinery businesses acquired as part of the Hewetson acquisition in January
1999.  The businesses are being acquired by the existing management team for a
consideration of Stg£4,478,000 receivable in cash on completion.

Following the write-back of goodwill previously written off on acquisition by
Hewetson, Kingspan expects to record a profit on the disposal of the business
of approximately Stg£100,000.

This disposal is in line with Kingspan's stated strategy to exit from the
non-core businesses of Hewetson.
