                     Kingspan announces Board Appointments

   •Gene Murtagh Jnr new Group Chief Executive Officer
   •Former EU Commissioner David Byrne as Non-Executive Director

The Board of Kingspan Group plc has announced the appointment, from January 1st
2005, of Mr Gene Murtagh Jnr as Group Chief Executive Officer. Mr Murtagh has
been with the Group for 11 years and is currently Chief Operating Officer. Prior
to that he has held a number of senior positions in Kingspan.

The Board of Kingspan Group Plc has also announced the appointment of former EU
Commissioner, Mr David Byrne, as a Non-Executive Director of the Group from the
1st January, 2005. Mr Byrne served as the first Commissioner for Health and
Consumer Protection from September 1999 until November 2004. Prior to this, Mr
Byrne served as Attorney General in the Irish Government.

Mr Eugene Murtagh will continue as Non-Executive Chairman of the Group.

This complies with the announcement made by Eugene Murtagh at the Annual General
Meeting held last May, that the role of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
would be split, and that the Board would be further strengthened by appointing
additional non-executive directors.
