Announcement on Amendment of Financial Forecast for the Six Months Ended
September 30, 2001

1. We amended the interim financial forecast announced on May 9, 2001. 

Six months Ended September 30, 2001:

2. Reasons for Amendment

(1) 'CASTLEVANIA 'CIRCLE OF THE MOON-' released along with the introduction
of Game Boy Advance in the U.S. and Europe marked more than 600,000 units
sales.

(2)The newest horror adventure game 'SILENT HILL 2' for playstation 2 showed
stable growth of the sales in the U.S. and Japan

(3)Sales of the soccer games released in the end of the last fiscal year,
'WORLD SOCCER WINNING ELEVEN 5' for playstation 2 in Japan and a 'WINING
ELEVEN' series, 'I.S.S. Pro Evolution 2' for playstation in Europe have shown
stable growth.

(4)The Company attempted to reduce selling, general and administrative
expenses by implementing cost cuttings and cost management.

In these circumstances, sales, ordinary income, and net income for the six
months ended September 30, 2001 are expected to be higher than the financial
forecast announced at the beginning of this period as above.

Financial forecast for the year ended March 31, 2002 has unchanged as
previously announced.
