We are pleased to inform that Konami Co. Ltd. (Konami) and Universal Interactive
Studios (UIS) announced a global strategic alliance to develop, market and
distribute next generation interactive games on December 16, 1999.
Under the terms of the deal, Konami will fund production as well as market and
distribute games produced and developed by Universal Interactive Studios based
upon core Universal Studios franchises. The deal involves franchises that
include Jurassic Park, Universal Studios Monsters, Bruce Lee, Dr. Seuss' How the
Grinch Stole Christmas and Woody Woodpecker and extends to a 'first - look' deal
for all other Universal Studios franchise based games developed by UIS.
The agreement will also lead to the leveraging of content across complimentary
businesses and alternate media, including movies, television, consumer products
and arcade businesses.
