New Financial Product 'Game Fund, TOKIMEKI MEMORIAL'
KONAMI CORPORATION (CEO: Kagemasa Kozuki, hereafter: Konami) is going to raise
fund for production and marketing of game software by 'Game Fund', financial
product with a completely new concept. Konami comes up with idea for this new
financial product 'Game Fund' and it was developed by Mizuho Securities Co.,
Ltd. (President, CEO: Hiroshi Nakamura). Monex, Inc. (President: Oki
Matsumoto), well known on-line securities company, will exclusively handle
offering and sales of the first issue 'Game Fund, TOKIMEKI MEMORIAL' starting
November 9th.
'Game Fund' is the first of this kind of product in Japan. Production and
marketing of game software business of Konami Group cash flow will be
securitized and sold to individual investors. Konami wishes to build a new
relationship with game users and investors that they can feel, 'Anybody can
participate in game software production'. Fund invested in 'Game Fund' will be
allocated to production and marketing of game software and profit proportional
to number of units sold will be returned to investors. If the supported
software became a big hit, by receiving the distribution of profit, investors
could actually share success of the project.
Investors for 'Game Fund' will feel strong affinity with game software from the
beginning of production and Konami will do its utmost best to produce attractive
product to meet the expectation and support of investors. Issuing of the fund
will also generate strong promotional effect as investors will surely hope for
good success and render the encouragement both in tangible and intangible ways.
'Game Fund' will be a useful means to diversify fund raising method. In the
current consumer-use software market, due to the amazing advancement of both
hardware and software, production cost is on incremental trend and this type of
financial product can be a powerful tool for fund raising. Also 'Game Fund'
will draw the attention of many investors who are not familiar with digital

between investors and industry and wishes that making big success of 'Game Fund'
will lead to further evolution of game software industry.
