                 Announcement on Acquisition of Treasury Stocks


KONAMI CORPORATION hereby notifies that it has acquired treasury stocks pursuant to the Article 210 of
Commercial Code of Japan as follows:

1. Acquisition period:                         August 19, 2002 to August 29, 2002

2. Number of shares acquired:                  262,400 shares

3. Total acquisition cost:                     738,880,500 yen

4. Acquisition method:                         Acquire on the Tokyo Stock Exchange


Reference:

Acquisition of treasury stocks resolved in the general shareholders meeting held on June 20, 2002.
