Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange Plc for 5,930 Ordinary shares of £1 each ('shares') to be
admitted to the Official List. It is expected admission will be granted on 08
March 2001 and trading will commence on 09 March 2001.

These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options
under the Land Securities Savings Related Share Option Scheme (1,430 Shares)
and Land Securities Executive Share Option Scheme (4,500 Shares) and will rank
pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
