Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange Plc and the Financial
Services Authority for 42,360 Ordinary shares of £1 each ('shares') to be
admitted to the Official List. It is expected that admission will be granted
on 15 October 2001 and that dealings will commence on 16 October 2001.

These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options
under the following schemes;

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
