Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange plc for 33,150 Ordinary shares of £1 each ('shares') to be
admitted to the Official List.

It is expected admission will be granted on 27 November 2001 and trading will
commence on 28 November 2001.

These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of share options
under the Savings Related Share Option Scheme (27,900) and Executive Share
Option Scheme (5,250).

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares.
