Land Securities Group PLC

Application has been made for 36,309 ordinary shares and 41,496 B shares to be
admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange. It is
expected that trading will commence on 16 September 2002.

These shares are being issued as a result of the exercise of options under the
Land Securities PLC 1993 Savings-Related Share Option Scheme which became
exercisable on the Land Securities PLC Scheme of Arrangement becoming effective.

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary and B shares.
