LAND SECURITIES APPOINTS ROBERT NOEL AS MANAGING DIRECTOR OF LONDON PORTFOLIO

Land Securities has today appointed Robert Noel to the Board of Land Securities Group PLC and to the executive position of Managing Director of its London Portfolio. The appointment will take effect from 1 January 2010.

 

Robert Noel has been Property Director of Great Portland Estates plc, the specialist central London investment and development company, since 2002.

 

Francis Salway, Group Chief Executive of Land Securities said of the appointment:

'Robert has an outstanding track record on transactions and investment performance in the London property market and we can look forward to him leading our London Portfolio team to continued success.'

Robert Noel said:

'I have enjoyed my time at Great Portland tremendously and leave a talented team and company in great shape. I am delighted to be joining Land Securities and look forward to leading its London business.'

There is nothing which is required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 (2) to (6) in respect of Robert Noel.

Notes to editor:

Robert Noel, aged 45, was educated at Marlborough College and Reading University. From 1992 to 2002 he was a director of Nelson Bakewell Ltd, the property services group, where his principal clients were GE Capital, MEPC plc and Benchmark Group PLC. He joined Great Portland Estates plc in June 2002 and was appointed to the Board in August 2002. He is also currently Chairman of the Westminster Property Association and a non executive director of the New West End Company, the central London Business Improvement District.

He is married with three children and lives in central London and Essex.
