Land Securities Group PLC - Transactions in Own Shares


Land Securities Group PLC (the 'Company') announces that on 27 June 2006 it
purchased from JPMorgan Cazenove Limited 135,000 ordinary shares at an average
price of 1724.757 pence per share. The purchased shares will be held as treasury
shares. Following the above purchase, Land Securities Group PLC holds 1,225,000
ordinary shares in treasury, and has 468,096,617 ordinary shares in issue
(excluding treasury shares).
