Appointment of External Auditor

Further to the The Law Debenture Corporation p.l.c.'s (the "Corporation") announcement on 23 September 2020 regarding its decision to postpone the audit tender process until 2021, the Corporation today announces its intention to appoint Deloitte LLP ("Deloitte") as its external auditor. Deloitte will audit the Corporation's and its group of companies' financial statements for the year ending 31 December 2021.

This follows a comprehensive and competitive audit tender process overseen by the Corporation's Audit and Risk Committee. The appointment of Deloitte will be recommended to the Corporation's shareholders for approval at the 2022 Annual General Meeting.

In accordance with the Companies Act 2006, shareholders will receive written confirmation of BDO LLP's resignation in due course.
