Appointment of Chief Executive Officer

The Law Debenture Corporation p.l.c. (the "Corporation") is pleased to announce that Michael Adams has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer Designate of the Law Debenture Group. His appointment will commence on 4 August 2016 and he will join the board of the Corporation as an Executive Director on that date.

Caroline Banszky, who has been Managing Director since April 2002 will, as announced last December, retire on 31 August. Michael Adams will be appointed Chief Executive Officer on the same date.

Michael Adams joins Law Debenture from TMF Group where he has spent the last four years, latterly as its Global Head of Structured Finance Services, having previously been Regional Director, UK, Ireland and Channel Islands and prior to that, Managing Director UK.  Before joining TMF, Michael spent 10 years at BNY Mellon, initially as Finance Director of its operating company QSR Management and ultimately as Managing Director of the Structured Finance Group.

A chemistry graduate from King's College London, Michael Adams qualified and practised as a chartered accountant, progressing to Senior Manager with Grant Thornton, before joining Barclays Capital, spending five years in the finance team, rising to Associate Director.

Commenting on the appointment, Christopher Smith, Chairman of the Corporation said "I am delighted to announce Michael Adams' appointment. He has many years of significant leadership, operational and transactional experience in the fiduciary services sector where our independent fiduciary services businesses operate. The board and I are confident that he has the energy, drive and market know-how to lead and grow our IFS businesses."

There is no other information about Michael Adams that is required to be disclosed under section 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
