                      Director's Shareholding (Amendment)

The issuer advises that the following replaces the announcement released under
RNS number 9964A at 17.24 on 4 April. The percentage shareholding of Johann
Claesson should have been reported excluding those shares held in treasury. The
full amended text appears below.

The Company announces that Mr Johann Claesson, a director of Leeds Group plc,
notified the Company on 30 March 2006 that he has bought 275,000 ordinary Leeds
Group shares at 20 pence per share. This brings his holding to 7,978,050
ordinary shares, or 22.57% of the ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares
held in treasury).
