Notification of Interests of Directors  - Amendment

A year end check of Directors' shareholdings have revealed that for the year to
30th September 2000 the following corrections need to be made to previously
notified holdings.

Robert Darnton Wade

Dividend shares of 316 in a Single Company PEP have been automatically
reinvested. This makes the total beneficial shareholding in Leeds Group plc
619,321 (1.69%).

On 26th January 2000 we notified a non-beneficial acquisition of 50,000 shares.
This was not a new acquisition, but merely a transfer between one Trust and
another. This makes the total non-beneficial shareholding in Leeds Group plc
315,085 (0.86%).

Donald Charles Macpherson

During the year, Mr Macpherson was appointed a trustee of The D C Macpherson
Trust for Mrs H C Macpherson, which holds 29,000 shares in Leeds Group plc. This
makes a non-beneficial shareholding in Leeds Group plc of 29,000 (0.07%).
