Savings Related Share Option Scheme ('the Scheme')



In common with all eligible employees, each of the executive directors of Legal
& General Group Plc ('the Company') have been invited to participate in the
Scheme. On 13 April 2006 R. A. Phipps was granted options over 6,393 ordinary
2.5p shares in the Company at a price of 117p per share.



M. J. Bolton a Senior Manager also chose to take part in the scheme and was
granted options over 7,991 ordinary 2.5p shares at a price of 117p per share.
