Legal & General Group Employee Share Plan
In common with all eligible employees, on 24 April 2006 each of the Executive
Directors of the Group was awarded 250 free shares under the Legal & General
Group Employee Share Plan at a price of 139.6066p per share. The following five
senior managers were also awarded 250 free shares on the same day and at the
same price: M J Bolton, C A Davies, I A Gibson, C C Hatry and G J Hoskin.
Legal & General Group Share Bonus Plan
The table below details shares which were awarded on 24 April 2006 to Executive
Directors of the Group under the Share Bonus Plan. These shares will normally be
held in trust for three years before vesting. The plan is described in more
detail in the Group's 2005 Annual Report & Accounts.

Legal & General Group Performance Share Plan
The following executive directors were allocated a conditional award of shares
under the Performance Share Plan on 24 April 2006. The number of Performance
Share Plan shares that may be transferred to the individual is dependent upon
the Legal & General total shareholder return compared with the FTSE 100,
measured over a three-year period. The plan is described in more detail in the
Group's 2005 Annual Report & Accounts.
