Savings Related Share Option Scheme



Legal & General Group Plc (the Company) has been advised, today, that A.W.
Palmer and J .B Pollock, Executive Directors of the Company, have each acquired
29,863 Ordinary shares of 2.5p each in the Company at a price of 55p per share
following the exercise of  options under the Legal & General Savings Related
Share Option Scheme.



Following this exercise, the Executive Director's beneficial interests were as
follows:
