The Legal & General Group Plc Performance Share Plan 2004 (PSP)

On 4 September 2012, Legal & General Group Plc (the "Company") received notification that Geoffrey Timms, a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility, exercised an option under the terms of the Performance Share Plan 2004, (PSP) over 402,061 ordinary shares of 2.5p each in the Company on that date in London.

The shares were subsequently sold at a price of 127.925 pence per ordinary share.

This disclosure relates to transactions notified in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a).
