Legal & General Group Employee Share Plan ('the Plan')
In common with all eligible employees, each of the executive directors of Legal
& General Group Plc ('Group') have been invited to apply for partnership shares
under the Plan on a monthly basis. On 1 November 2002 each executive director
chose to contribute to purchase 115 partnership shares in the Group. The Group
matched these shares on a one to one basis up to £20 per month. Accordingly,
each executive director received 18 matching shares. The shares were purchased
at a price of 108p per share.
The Company has been notified by its Registrars that the number of shares
purchased in September 2002 in respect of the matching shares was 16.
Unfortunately the announcement made in respect of this purchase stated that the
number of shares purchased was 17.
Following these awards, the executive directors' current beneficial holdings in
the Group now stand at:
