Legal & General Group Plc - Directorate Changes

Legal & General Group Plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Popham as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 July 2011.

Stuart was previously Senior Partner of Clifford Chance from 2003-2011. Stuart is currently Vice-Chair of EMEA Banking for Citigroup Inc, Chairman of City UK, a Member of the Advisory Council, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and a Council Member of Chatham House. Stuart will join the Risk, Remuneration and Nominations Committees.
