Legal & General Group Plc Board announces the appointment of George Lewis as non-executive director of Legal & General Group Plc on 1 November 2018

The Board of Legal & General Group Plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of George Lewis as independent non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect.
George will join the Audit, Nominations and Risk Committees on appointment.
George brings to the Board significant experience in financial services and in particular a focus on asset management following a 30-year career with the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), including, from 2012 to 2015, as a member of RBC's Group Executive board responsible for RBC's global asset and wealth management and insurance businesses. His experience in growing RBC's global asset management business in the US, UK, Asia and other international markets will be important as the Group seeks to develop its LGIM business globally.
