Legal & General Group Plc Board announces the appointment of Laura Wade-Gery as a non-executive director of Legal & General Group Plc

The Board of Legal & General Group Plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Wade-Gery as an independent non-executive director of the Company with effect from 3 January 2022. Laura will join the Group Technology Committee and Nominations and Corporate Governance Committee upon appointment.
Laura has extensive knowledge of digital transformation and customer experience, with previous roles including her position as executive director of Multi-Channel at Marks and Spencer Group plc and as chief executive officer of Tesco.com and Tesco Direct. Laura's appointment reflects the Company's commitment to technological innovation as it seeks to become a market leader in the digital provision of insurance and other financial solutions.

Laura is currently a non-executive director of British Land Co plc. Laura was previously a non-executive director of John Lewis Partnership plc and an executive director of Marks & Spencer Group plc. There are no details or disclosures required under LR 9.6.13R of the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules.
