Holding in the Company

In accordance with the provisions of Section 5.8.12 of the Disclosure and
Transparency Rules, Legal & General Group Plc ('the Group') has been advised
today that, as at 19 November 2007, Aviva Plc and its subsidiary companies had a
notifiable interest in the Group of 265,651,481 ordinary shares of 2.5p with
voting rights. This represented 4.17% of the voting capital as at 19 November
2007.

A copy of the notification to the Group (Form TR1) is attached.
