THE LINDSELL TRAIN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

The Lindsell Train Investment Trust plc ('Company') announces that in order for
the Company to comply with the requirements of the new Listing Rules, Mr Michael
Lindsell has agreed to resign as a Director of the Company with effect from the
close of business on 31 March 2005.

The Board of the Company has found the advice and skills which Mr Lindsell has
brought to its deliberations since the Company's inception to be invaluable and
looks forward to welcoming him back onto the Board at a future date.
