Secondary placing of existing shares by Cazenove
Pacific Investments PLC ('Pacific'), through its subsidiary River & Mercantile
Investment Management Limited, and Nigel Legge, Joint Chief Executive of
Liontrust, have today placed, through Cazenove, a total of 2,890,294 ordinary
shares in Liontrust, representing approximately 8.7 per cent. of the Company,
at 360p per share.
Following the placing, Nigel Legge will retain an interest in 1,750,000
ordinary shares in Liontrust, representing approximately 5.3 per cent. of the
Company, and Pacific will retain an interest in 2,302,342 ordinary shares,
representing approximately 6.9 per cent. of the Company.
Pacific has undertaken not to dispose of any Liontrust shares held by them
following the placing until after the announcement of Liontrust's preliminary
results for the year ending 31 March 2002. These preliminary results are
expected to be announced in late May 2002.
