Appointment of Interim Finance Director
The Board of World Sport Group plc, the sports media, marketing and management
group, is pleased to announce the appointment of an interim finance director, Mr
Robert C Porter BSc (Econ), ACA. His appointment is with immediate effect.
Mr Porter, 47, has previously held interim positions as Finance Director of BIS
Limited, and Finance Director of Offshore Private Banking for Barclays Private
Bank Limited. Prior to this his career included permanent appointments as Chief
Financial Officer, Executive Director and Head of Finance and Operations
International for DKB International PLC, Finance Director of Banque Safra of
Luxembourg, Executive Director of LTCB International Ltd and Financial
Controller at Samuel Montagu & Co (now HSBC Markets). He trained at KPMG in
London from where he joined Price Waterhouse.
Mr Porter will report directly to the Executive Chairman, David Ciclitira, and
Chief Executive, Seamus O'Brien.
Commenting on his appointment, David Ciclitira, said:
'We are delighted that Robert is joining us as our interim finance director. He
brings with him a wealth of experience and an excellent track record and Seamus
and I look forward to working with him over the coming months.'
