EVENT UPDATE
LVCG announces an update to the events that have taken place in the previous few months and on confirmed contracts that have been signed for Q4 2023 and 2024.
BRICKLIVE
For the whole of October in Toulouse, France at the Parc des Expositions, Centre de Conventions & Congres BRICKLIVE brickosaurs as well as a graffiti wall, car ramps and brick pits brought record numbers of visitors from the region. In the UK ICC Wales have signed contracts for two events that will take place in Newport next year. The first will showcase the BRICKLIVE Animal world models and will run from 14th to 17th February 2024. The second contract is for BRICKLIVE Brickosaurs with the event taking place from 24th October to 29th October 2024. BRICKLIVE Brickosaurs 15 (a set with 15 models) is booked in with Southport BID from 29 March 2024 to 14 April 2024 and then from July to September the tour moves to Kent and The Amelia Scott Museum in Tunbridge Wells.
BRICKLIVE Brickosaurs is also booked for January 2024 to May 2024 at the Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha, USD.
LCSE
In October World Rallycross came to South Africa and took place at the Killarney International Raceway in Cape Town South Africa with teams such as the Volkswagen Dealerteam BAUHAUS, Hansen World RX team and the CE Dealer team amongst others battling it out for a podium finish. However, it was Timo Scheider who scored his maiden victory for All-Inkl Munnich Motorsport. LCSE were organisers of the hospitality village as well as other side events around the race track.
LCSE recently hosted a wine and food festival in Johannesburg which was the third in a series that started in Cape Town in April and moved to Durban in August. The festivals showcased the best of South African wines and foods with specialised tasting rooms, cooking displays from top chefs and a variety of foods.
StART
StART celebrated its 10th anniversary at Saatchi Gallery 11-15 October presenting its signature array of exhibiting artists and galleries from around the globe, highlights included two Singapore based galleries; One East Asia whose star artists and power couple Abi Dionisio and Welbart attended the opening in person and Premium Pages who presented a solo show featuring Lim Tze Peng, Singapore High Commissioner to the United Kingdon; Lim Thuan Kuan attended an event at StART in the artist's honour. Cambridge gallery The Art Hound are presenting "Paint it Black" the art of Rock and Roll featuring a variety of artists including photographer Scarlet Page, daughter of Led Zeppelin's Jimmy.
Projects this year included the Korean globetrotter Doowon LEE who has been taking the international art-world by storm with his naive and sometimes whimsical signature style. In celebration of the King's Coronation together with the Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts (PFSTA) more than 55 former MA students who graduated during the past decade were presented in a large second floor gallery space. A partnership with New Blood Art Gallery presented the StART x New Blood Art Emerging Art Prize and exhibition showcasing graduate students from art schools across the United Kingdom that were shortlisted for the prize.
Cork-based painter Ian Brennan's portrait of Lucien Freud's muse and model Sue Tilley was also on display for sale with a vast price-tag in exchange for her sitting for him one last time!
Photographer Marie Jordan returned to StART this year with a new equine series. All of Marie's work is sold for charity, the main charity being the Hummingbird Initiative, which helps remote communities in Kenya achieve their full potential. The monies raised at StART in 2021 built a school called Nak-Nkiri Primary the money from 2023 will go towards medical facilities.
Official Team GB artist Ben Mosely spent the week painting a mural consisting of eight individual 100 x 100 cm canvas during the week of the fair. Plans for the 11th edition are already underway.

LVCG is a founder shareholder in E-Movement - the promoter of the Formula E Race in Cape Town. As part of this relationship E-Movement has retained LCSE (through E-Movement holdings) as its implementation partner. E-Movement Holdings a 100% subsidiary of Live Company Group has the right to sell sponsorship for the Formula E race in Cape Town.
