World Sport Group plc ('The Company')
Statement re press comment
The Board of World Sport Group plc has noted media comment suggesting that the
Company's shares have been deleted from AIM. To clarify, the Company has been
deleted from the FTSE AIM Index due to its continued suspension, but its shares
remain listed on AIM. The suspension from trading remains in place pending
announcement of the Company's final results for the six months ended 31 December
2001 and its interim results to 30 June 2002.
The Company confirms that it is working with its advisers to finalise a
comprehensive announcement to shareholders regarding the future direction of the
Group. This announcement will also incorporate the final results for six months
ended 31 December 2001 and its interim results for the period ended 30 June
2002. It is expected that the Company's shares will be restored to trading, and
the Company reinstated in the FTSE AIM Index, upon release of this announcement.
