LLOYDS TSB BOARD CHANGES
Sir Ian Prosser has accepted an invitation to become a non-executive director
of SmithKline Beecham and will leave the boards of Lloyds TSB Group and Lloyds
TSB Bank on 31 July 1999, having served as a non-executive director for the
past 11 years.
'During that time, he has given outstanding service to the group, as senior
independent director, chairman of the audit committee and a member of the
nomination committee' said Sir Brian Pitman, Chairman, Lloyds TSB Group.
Clive Butler, chairman of the remuneration committee, will succeed Sir Ian as
the senior independent director and a member of the nomination committee and
Paddy Linaker will succeed Sir Ian as chairman of the audit committee.
