ERRATUM DATED 23 DECEMBER 2008

LLOYDS TSB GROUP PLC
(incorporated under the Companies Act 1985 and registered in Scotland with registered number 95000)

Erratum to the Prospectus dated 18 December 2008 (the "Prospectus") relating to the US$1,250,000,000 7.875 per cent. Non-Cumulative Preference Shares and the €500,000,000 7.875 per cent. Non-Cumulative Preference Shares to be issued by Lloyds TSB Group plc on 19 January 2009 (the "Erratum").

This Erratum forms part of the Prospectus and should be read as such. Unless otherwise specified in this Erratum, all capitalised terms used in this Erratum have the meaning given to them in the Prospectus. This Erratum only concerns the information specified below and does not imply that the rest of the information contained in the Prospectus is still correct and complete.

Lloyds TSB Group plc announces that:

• The figure "U.S.$1,000" where it appears on the front cover and on page 103 of the Prospectus shall be deleted and replaced with "U.S.$1,000 or €1,000 (as applicable)"; and

• The term "U.S.$" where it appears on pages 14, 60, 64 and 65 of the Prospectus shall be deleted and replaced with "€".
