LLOYDS TSB GROUP APPOINTMENT

Following the retirement of Stephen Maran, Group Director,
Insurance and Investments of Lloyds TSB Group, on 31
December 1999 and prior to the completion of the Scottish
Widows transaction, which is expected to be in the spring of
2000, Chris Wiscarson will become acting managing director
of the Insurance and Investments Division and Chief
Executive of Lloyds TSB Financial Services Holdings plc.
