LLOYDS TSB TO LIST ON NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE

The  New York Stock Exchange has advised Lloyds TSB Group
plc  that its shares have been approved for listing.  The
Group  therefore expects to list its shares  on  the  New
York  Stock  Exchange on 27th November 2001.   The  Group
does  not  intend  to conduct any new share  offering  in
connection with this listing.

The  New  York Stock Exchange will be listing the Group's
American   Depositary  Shares,  represented  by  American
Depositary Receipts issued by the Group's depositary bank
for this purpose, The Bank of New York.

In  connection with this forthcoming listing,  the  Group
has  filed with the United States Securities and Exchange
Commission a related Registration Statement on Form 20-F.
