Appointment of Managing Director
The Directors of Lok'nStore Group plc, the self-storage company that joined
the Alternative Investment Market in June 2000, are pleased to announce the
appointment of Steven Hourston as Managing Director. The appointment takes
effect from 2 April 2001.
Steven, aged 37, joins from Boots The Chemist ('BTC'), where he was Regional
General Manager, South-East England and the youngest regional general manger
in BTC's recent history. As Regional General Manager, he was responsible for
the operational management and development of 152 stores, generating sales of
approximately £600 million and employing 7,500 staff.
He was also responsible for new site acquisition and a member of Head Office
steering groups for Boots Advantage Card and New Store Formats. Steven joined
BTC in 1984 and prior to his appointment as Regional General Manager, he was
Head of Operations of BTC Heathcare Business.
Andrew Jacobs, chief executive of Lok'nStore, commented,

Steven has first class credentials and offers a wealth of experience amassed
during his 16 years at Boots. This will prove invaluable to the group as we
