                              BOARD APPOINTMENT

Lok'nStore Group plc ('Lok'nStore'), the self-storage company, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Marcus Stanton as a Non-Executive Director to the
Board. The appointment takes immediate effect.

Marcus Stanton, aged 47, is an experienced investment banker. He worked for
Robert Fleming & Co, now part of JP Morgan, for 7 years, having joined in
1993. At Robert Fleming, Marcus was Chief Operating Officer of Global Capital
Markets and involved in all aspects of debt and equity issuance as well as
risk management and financial control. Prior to that, he spent ten years at
Hill Samuel where he was a Director in the Corporate Finance Division and Head
of Structured Finance. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur
Andersen & Co in 1978.

Marcus Stanton is also a Non-Executive Director of Windsor plc, the fully
listed Lloyds broking group.

Andrew Jacobs, chief executive, commented,

'Lok'nStore is establishing a network of prominently located self-storage
centres in the south and south-east of England. We have an ambitious growth
strategy underway and while continuing to expand we also expect to maintain
our profitability.

The appointment of Marcus adds new skills to the Board and we are delighted to
welcome him to the Group. We are currently looking to appoint a Finance
Director and expect to make an announcement in due course.'

Marcus Stanton is currently a director of Cable Finance Limited and
Insurethelot.co.uk. Within the last five years, Mr Stanton has also been a
director of:-

There are no further disclosures to be made regarding the above appointment in
