London Stock Exchange plc (the 'Exchange') stated in its Listing Particulars
dated 18 June 2001 that it intended to issue a statement following the first
and third quarters, updating the market on trading conditions and their impact
on the Exchange. The third quarter trading statement will provide summarised
turnover information and an assessment of trading during the completed
quarter.
