London Stock Exchange Group plc announces, in accordance with paragraph 9.6.14R of the Listing Rules,  that Chris Gibson-Smith, non-executive chairman of the Company, will step down as a non-executive director and chairman of The British Land Company plc with effect from 31 December 2012.  He has been appointed as Non Executive Chairman designate of Partnership (an unquoted company), pending FSA approval.
