London Stock Exchange Group Board Changes

 

London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) today announces that Robert Webb QC, Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, will step down from the Board following LSEG's Annual General Meeting on 29 April 2015. He has been a Non-Executive Director of the Group for 14 years.

 

Paul Heiden, Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Board's Audit Committee, today becomes Senior Independent Director and Sherry Coutu CBE, Non-Executive Director, becomes Chair of the Group's Remuneration Committee.

Paul Heiden - Biography

Paul was appointed to the Board of London Stock Exchange Group plc in June 2010 and is Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Risk and Nomination Committees.

 

Paul is a Non-Executive Director of Meggitt plc and Non-Executive Chairman of Intelligent Energy Holdings plc.

 

Previously Chairman of Talaris Topco Limited from 2009 to 2012, Non-Executive Director of United Utilities Group plc from 2006 to 2013 and Chief Executive Officer of FKI plc from 2003 to 2008. Paul was an Executive Director of Rolls-Royce plc from 1997 to 1999 and Group Finance Director from 1999 to 2003. He has also had previous senior finance roles at Hanson plc and Mercury Communications and was a Non-Executive Director of Bunzl plc from 1998 to 2005 and Filtrona plc from 2005 to 2006

 

Sherry Coutu CBE - Biography

Sherry was appointed to the Board in January 2014. She is Non-Executive Director of Cambridge Temperature Concepts, Cambridge Assessment, Cambridge University Press, Zoopla Property Group Plc, Raspberry Pi, and Artfinder. Sherry is also an External Non-Executive Director of Cambridge University and a Member of the Finance Committee. She is the author of UK Government commissioned 'Scale-Up Report' (2014).

 

Previously, she was an Investor and Director of New Energy Finance from 2006 to 2009 and Director of Jarvis Plc from 2001 to 2003. From 1998 to 2007 she was Non-Executive Director and Senior Independent Director of RM Plc, where she also served as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and a Member of the Audit Committee.

 

From 2006 to 2010, Sherry was a Trustee of NESTA National Endowment for Science, Technology and Arts. In 1995, Sherry founded Interactive Investor International Plc and served as CEO and Chairman from 1995 to 2001. She was also UK Managing Director of ISI Emerging Markets from 1994 to 1995.
