CHANGES TO DIRECTORS ON BOARD OF LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE GROUP PLC
London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG) today announced that Gary Allen and Peter
Meinertzhagen have stepped down from the Board of LSEG.
Gary Allen joined the Board in 1994. He has been chairman of the Audit
Committee and since, October 2004, Senior Director. Peter Meinertzhagen joined
the Board in 1997 and has also been a member of the Remuneration Committee.
Sergio Ermotti, Paolo Scaroni and Andrea Munari will be joining the Board of the
enlarged Group along with Angelo Tantazzi as Deputy Chairman and Massimo Capuano
as Deputy Chief Executive.
The new directors will join Chris Gibson-Smith, Clara Furse, Jonathan Howell,
Baroness Janet Cohen, Oscar Fanjul, Nigel Stapleton and Robert Webb.
The resignations of Gary Allen and Peter Meinertzhagen took effect from 24
September 2007 and the appointments of Angelo Tantazzi, Massimo Capuano, Sergio
Ermotti, Andrea Munari and Paolo Scaroni to the Board are conditional on the
completion of the merger with Borsa Italiana, expected to be 1 October 2007.

There are no other matters relating to the new directors which would require
disclosure under Listing Rules 9.6.13R other than as set out below.

Angelo Tantazzi - current directorships are as follows: Banca Popolare
dell'Emilia Romagna, Coesia S.p.A. and Advanced Capital S.p.A.. Since July 2000
Angelo Tantazzi has held the position of Chairman at: Borsa Italiana S.p.A,
Monte Titoli S.p.A since November 2001, CC&G since April 2003 and Prometeia
S.p.A.. He is also Vice-Chairman of the publishing house 'Il Mulino'.
Massimo Capuano - current directorships are as follows: Chief Executive Borsa
Italiana S.p.A., Servizio Titoli (Chairman), MBE Holding (Chairman) and Promac
S.p.A. (Vice-Chairman). In addition, Massimo Capuano currently holds the
position of Chairman of the World Federation of Exchanges for the year 2007-2008
and is Chairman of BIt Systems and a member of the Supervisory Board at MTS. He
is Vice-Chairman of CC&G and Monte Titoli. He is a Member of the Board of the
Federation of European Securities Exchanges (for the year 2007-2008) and was
President of this organisation for the years 2004-2006. He is also a member of
the International Advisory Committee of Cairo Alessandria Stock Exchange from
September 2006.
Andrea Munari - current directorships are as follows: CEO Banca Caboto, Director
Banca IMI. In addition, Andrea Munari has had the following former
directorships: MTS S.p.A (from 2003 to 2005) and director of TLX S.p.A. from
January 2007 to September 2007.
Sergio Ermotti - current directorships are as follows: Group Deputy CEO at
UniCredit Group. From January 2006 to July 2007 Sergio Ermotti was Deputy
General Manager and Head of Markets and Investment Banking at UniCredit Group.
In addition, from March 1997 to November 2003 Sergio Ermotti was a director at
Merrill Lynch International and from July 2002 to April 2003 he was a director
of Virt-X Limited and of Virt-X Exchange Limited.
Paolo Scaroni - current directorships are as follows: CEO of ENI S.p.A.,
Director of Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A., Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A., Fondazione
Teatro alla Scala and Veolia Environnement SA. He is also a member of the
Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO N.V. and member of the Board of Overseers of
Columbia Business School. In the past, Paolo Scaroni had the following former
directorships: from 1997 to 2002 he was CEO of Pilkington plc, he was director
at BAE Systems plc from 2000 to 2004 and at Invensys plc from 2001 to 2002. From
June 2002 to June 2005 Paolo Scaroni was CEO of Enel S.p.A. and he was a
director (2002-2005) and Chairman (2005-2006) of Alliance Unichem plc. He was
also a member of the Board of other listed companies within the past 5 years:
Marzotto S.p.A., DEA Capital S.p.A., Valentino Fashion Group.
