CONFIRMATION OF RULE AMENDMENTS
GILT-EDGED AND FIXED INTEREST MARKET
RULE AMENDMENTS RELATING TO TREATMENT OF ACCRUED INTEREST
1. Stock Exchange Notice N33/99 consulted on proposed amendments to rules
relating to the calculation of accrued interest in the gilt and fixed interest
market.
2. As a result of the consultation the rules and guidance have been amended
for general clarity and in particular with regard to the treatment of special
cum dividend transactions.
3. The finalised rules are set out in the attachment to this Notice and are
effective immediately. Hole punched pages for inclusion in the rule book will
be issued shortly.
