STOCK EXCHANGE NOTICE

CONFIRMATION OF MEMBERSHIP RULE CHANGES

1.   Stock Exchange Notice N36/00 issued on 16 June 2000, consulted on
proposed rule changes to allow European based non-ISD proprietary traders
('non-ISD locals') to apply for membership.
 
2.   The consultation process resulted in no changes to the proposed rules,
which will take effect from Monday 24 July 2000.

3.   A copy of the relevant rules is attached to this Notice.  The updated
pages for insertion into rule books will be issued in due course.
