Lookers PLC (the 'Company')

Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange for a block listing of 650,000 ordinary shares of 25p each to
be admitted to the Official List.

These shares, ranking pari passu in all respects with the existing shares in
issue, will be allotted pursuant to the exercise of options and to the rules
of the following schemes:-

Lookers PLC Executive Share option Scheme 250,000 shares

Lookers PLC Company Share option Scheme 400,000 shares

These shares will not be allotted immediately but as and when the scheme rules
allow.

Copies of this announcement may be obtained from the Company's Registered
Office for a period of 14 days (collection only).
