                            Application for listing


The Board of Lookers announces that pursuant to the acquisition of JN Holdings
Limited (Taggarts) ('JN Holdings'), which was announced on 5th February 2003, it
has allotted 426,953 new ordinary shares of 25 pence each ('the New Ordinary
Shares') to the vendors of JN Holdings as part consideration for the
acquisition. Application has been made for the New Ordinary Shares to be
admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange. It is
expected that such admission will become effective on 23rd April 2003.
