                                BOARD CHANGES


The Board of Lookers plc announce the retirement of Mr Craig McKinney as
Deputy Chairman and non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Mr McKinney, the former Chairman and Chief Executive of Woodchester
Investments Plc, is domiciled abroad and leaves to pursue his overseas
interests. He was appointed to the Board of Lookers Plc in 1987 and at
different times has acted in a non-executive capacity as both Chairman and
Deputy Chairman.

The Board of Directors would like to express their deep sense of gratitude to
Mr McKinney for his outstanding contribution to the growth of the business
during almost 15 years as a Director.

The alternate directorship of Mr D N O'Connor terminates automatically under
the Company's Articles of Association and he does not plan to offer himself
for re-election. His contribution is also gratefully acknowledged.
