Lookers plc - substantial shareholder



The Board of Lookers plc ('Lookers' or 'the Company') has been notified today
that the family interests of Mr Tony Bramall have acquired a further 475,000
Lookers ordinary shares of 5 pence each.  The acquisition was 50,000 shares of
128 pence per share and 425,000 shares at 132 pence per share.



Mr Tony Bramall and his family interest are holders of 34,310,710 shares
representing 19% of the existing issued share capital of the Company.
