Lookers plc - substantial shareholder

The Board of Lookers plc ('Lookers' or 'the Company') has been notified that the
family interests of Mr Tony Bramall have acquired a further 140,000 Lookers
ordinary shares of 5 pence each on 8 January 2008 at a price of 107 pence per
share.

Mr Tony Bramall and his family interests are holders of 35,767,710 shares
representing 19.75% of the existing issued share capital of the Company. All
shares are voting shares.  One vote one share.
